The Intake Appointment
What happens at an initial intake appointment?
During the first session, the counsellor will go through the intake form with you to get a better understanding of what brought you in and what you wish to work on. The counsellor explain the counselling process as well as have you review the Disclosure Information form.
The session is approximately 50 minutes.
What should I do to prepare for my intake appointment?
1. Download the Intake form, fill it out to the best of your ability and bring it with you to your scheduled appointment.
2. Download and read the Lamppost Counselling Services Disclosure Information.
